THE EVENT

CrossFit Unbreakable is hosting the first annual Magnus’ Mayhem this May! The event has two separate options for competing.

North American Strongman Level I Show: This will be the premier NAS show for Indiana in 2018. A Strongman Corp membership will is required for all contestants. No exceptions. You can register your membership here. The top athlete (1st place finisher) in each weight class or division that is offered at the competition will receive an invitation to the SC National Championships. A LEVEL I COMPETITION does not have a minimum or maximum total number of competitors required. Each weight class offered in any division shall have a minimum of 5 competitors competing.  If there are less than 5 competitors in a weight class then it shall be combined with another appropriate weight class to ensure a National qualifying spot.  We will have 5 main events plus 1 throwing event: power stairs, log clean and press away for reps, Conan’s wheel or Zercher carry, ground to overhead medley of keg, axle bar, and circus dumb bell, Braemar stone put, and Atlas stones to shoulder (double points).

Highlander: This event is a combination of Scottish heavy athletics and strongman. It is also a qualifier for Nationals for the top 3 in each Open weight class. We will have 3 throwing events + 3 Strongman events for each athlete.

FAQS

– Power Stairs: The athlete will have to pick up the implement and carry it up the stairs and then repeat it with two more implements.
– Log Clean and Press Away: The athlete will have 1 minute to press the log overhead as many times as possible.
– Conan’s Wheel or Zercher Carry: The athlete will have 1 attempt to carry the implement for maximum distance.
– Ground to Overhead Medley: Clean and press each implement 3 reps as fast as possible.
– Stone Put: The athlete will have two attempts to put the stone as far as possible.
– Atlas Stones to Shoulder: The athlete will have 1 minute to clean the Atlas stone to his/her shoulder as many times as possible in 1 minute. This event is worth double points.

Women

-Novice Light Weight: 0-140.4
– Novice Middle Weight: 140.5+

-Open Middle Weight: 140.5-180.4
-Open Heavy Weight: 180.5-200.4

-Weight Over Bar: The athlete will have 3 attempts to hit his/her maximum height. The bar will move up in 1′ increments starting at 10′ men and 9′ women.
-Heavy Hammer Throw: The athlete will have 2 attempts for a maximum distance thrown. No blades allowed.
-Circus Dumb Bell Press: The athlete will have 1 minute to press the implement as many times as possible.
-Stone Put: The athlete will have two attempts to put the stone as far as possible.
-Atlas Stones to Shoulder: The athlete will have 1 minute to clean the Atlas stone to his/her shoulder as many times as possible in 1 minute.
